210 gallon Frontosa build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just wouldn't take the chance and I actually soak pellets for a time to ensure they sink. I've also heard about and seen videos of the float issue happening and it stands to reason that Frontosa weren't meant to be top feeders, being the deeper water dwellers that they are.
💯 agree!

Definitely some funny business going on after tonight’s water change - biggest female was hanging around the male. Chasing off any of the other fish that came near. Sort of hanging around him, seeming to show off a little bit, and swooping around him a bit.

Still guessing that he’s too young to be too interested - but funny to see a different type of behavior!

I have a titanium heater…does that count 😜
Seriously though, I turn my sump pumps off (titanium heater in sump) when maintenancing the main tank. Eliminates the risk in my estimation.

Woke up to something a bit alarming - my male and my largest female were nowhere to be found. Last night was normal and no signs of stress. No water changes or anything since last Sunday.

They didn’t even come out when I dropped some pellets in.

Then after looking for a bit, I realize that they are both sort of laying together inside of one of the caves - pictured below.

What the heck is this?

Mine are still quite skittish mate. They kinda dart behind cover when I approach the tank. Maybe your 2 felt the vibration in the floor, or saw your shadow, and ducked into the cave right as you walked into the room 🤷🏻‍♂️
I probably wouldn’t read too much it tbh mate
