New Oscar Tank Setup!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It has been quite a few years since I kept ocellatus. They were the only fish that my lovely bride ever showed any interest in. I only have 4 large tanks so I have to choose which sucks. I would love to keep a group of crassipinnis at some point but just haven’t got there yet. The tank looks great!

Thank you! My last partner would not allow any tanks in the house whatsoever, Which is why I left the hobby for 4 years lol. It was a week after we separated I already had this one in the back of my truck 🤣

Lol, when I was younger I faced that ultimatum on a few occasions, with only slight variations in the wording.

"It's me or the fish!"

"Either the snakes go or I go!"

"Sorry, but I can't live in a home that has guns in it...so choose!"

"Well, I certainly don't intend to sit on that motorcycle to go to the movies!"

"Oh! Uh...You didn't mention you had a dog..."

...and so forth; you get the idea. I hope those girls are happy now. :)

My wife and I have now been together for 40+ years and she doesn't say dumb stuff like that. I may eventually stop referring to her as my "current" partner...:)

Looking forward to following along with this thread.

Perzackly! We all make mistakes...that's okay as long as we learn from them moving forward...:)

For the record...Sharon does not love all that stuff, except of course for the dog. But she accepts and tolerates everything, has her motorcycle licence, is a very capable shot, loves to fish and has assisted on numerous occasions in the past when I needed a second person to help handle a large snake. That's what matters. :)

Looking forward to following along with these fish. I really like that dark one with only a few scattered red spots. Of course, it'll probably change its appearance completely several times as it grows, but that's part of their charm. :)
