Can I create a canister filter output tube dissipater to reduce turbulence in the water?

Because my pump is rated at 1500gph and I want to spread flow over a wider area ,(as opposed to a narrowly focused stream),
I build manifolds out of PVC from the hardware store to spread flow out.

If you have some basic fabricating skills, sure.

Yes the majority of canisters have the option to purchase a spray bar. If not get some PVC, a cap, and drill some holes to your desired flow. I made and installed this one in 15-20 minutes. I see an extra Eheim heater mount to keep it in place.
