Hi everyone,

My tigirinus is hurt pretty bad, he was in the same tank with exotic plecos, and I really can’t say what happened but his gill flap and fins seem to be a beaten. I’ve moved him to a separate tank now and giving him general aid, his eating still which is good I guess.

Anything else I can do?

Please help

Looks like “eaten” more than beaten. Plecos can latch on a chew away flesh. Is the red we see its gills or just flesh over the cheek? The pic quality makes it difficult to tell…
Lots of clean water. Keep nitrates <5 and add salt at 1tbsp/5gal to reduce bacterial count in the water column. I would keep that concentration w water changes for 2-3 weeks or until the wound is healed.

Probably got stuck in a cave with a pleco and lost. Those reddish gills are normal in young tigrinus as their gill plates are translucent. Agree with poster above…clean water and keep and eye on it
