I had 8 in 2012 which relatively quickly turned into two, a spawn ball, and then there was one. They’re absolute dicks.

That male reached 4.5 inches before I downsized my fish room and took about 8 months to reach that size as they're slow growers. That male took out 4 in a group and severely beaten another female over night from same group. Very aggressive.
Put it this way, I had to place him in a 125 right before I rehomed him with my old trimac pair which were 4x the size and he never once backed down from the trimacs!
He would push the trimacs out of their nest numerous times and this was in a 6ft tank. But he was beautiful and so rare. I'd love to get my hands on them!
