Mine was a surface feeder. Always waited for the lid to open and eat everything off the surface.
Don't say so much....bOOst doesn't know it's salt water fish. It's rare I come on here an see something I don't recognise, I was confused then thinking that's not a bay snook lol...
Googled em now, nice fish.
I hope mine is the same. Was it a lazy eater or did it feed like the cichla? I was surprised to see my bass chasing him a bit. Then I fed them and they stopped.Mine was a surface feeder. Always waited for the lid to open and eat everything off the surface.
It's actually a common or a black. It was collected from Suriname on the Atlantic side so I'm going to say it's a common snook. Sword spines have a shorter body length and the spike expends past the flank and passes were the tail starts. They also have other distinguishing characteristics.can I ask where you found the sword spine? haven't seen those in a few years. doh. just saw wes has them.
