  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you can keep them in full fresh depending on where it was collected from, we have those and mangrove snapper + tarpon in lakes down here.

Very nice! There used to be more people keeping them on MFK than now, I wonder why.
I had a group of them years ago but I sent to Pupmole.I've noticed the prices for them have gone way up.I paid about thirty bucks per four incher back then and now they are a hundred bucks each or more.

Kens grew to a monster size, what kind of life expectancy would expect out of this guy? Will they last as long as a freshwater fish?

Supposedly they don't do well with swings in temp. Otherwise they are one of the coolest fish around.

Where's down here? I was always told as they get large they need salt and I actually know someone that has stopped adding salt and lost there snook.

I assume pretty long. Stripers are about 33-34" at around 10 years old and that's only a quarter of their life span. I think saltwater fish live longer than freshwater.

Might possibly still have some salt in there from ground water.

I'm happy to say that he competed for some pellets with my bass but they gave him a run for his money. It was pretty much a blow out hahaha. He'll learn.
