First l would remove the adult lernaea with tweezers.
Second treat the water for the larvae with Emamectinbenzoat or any other medications that disturb the chitin synthesis of the larvae (they look like worms but technically they are crustaceans).
Third make sure the water is prestine to provide ideal conditions for the wounds to heal. You can also add some dried leaves to provide tannins.

I agree lok like Lernaea, there are may species., common all over the world
They are especially common probems with the use of feeder fish like Cyprinids like minows or goldfish.
They can overwhem a tank in a very short time., the larvae are microscopic.

These came in with wild caught tetras.
I treate with Prazicuantel, and Metrondozil, but didn´t catch then soon enought, so had to euthaize the entire tank.

duanes duanes ,
Maybe you were not to late but you used the wrong medication. Lernaea are crustaceans. Praziquantel is considered safe for shrimp etc. So I doubt it has any effect on Lernaea.
