    Thanks for the info guys. I'll take your advice into consideration. Fortunately, I have a spare tank I can keep some of the fish in until everyone is the right size. It may mean I have to trade my aro out for a smaller one eventually, but I will figure it out.

    I'm hoping that a well fed aro will ignore the angels.. I've seen it work, but I'm sure it's all about the individual aro. Mine is really timid at the moment, so hopefully he'll stay peaceful. He won't even eat the guppies. The bichirs got them all.

    I've done it with malawis. Just make sure the lid is TIGHT. Mine escaped and turned into jerky.
