I used Oracal 651 on a couple tanks. Got it on Amazon. Spray the acrylic/glass with water, apply the vinyl sticky side down, then squeegee the water out. Just take your time and/or get some help applying it. Wrinkles and air pockets are really noticeable.

Goldies aren't difficult to keep if you can get them healthy to begin with. Avoid sunken bellies/eyes like the plague. If you go green phantom (imho too small for a 55), know that there are two types. I like the bary better than the hemi, but you may think otherwise.

I'd look into vinyl sheeting. Easy to remove and super durable.
