I was just looking at some photos of A. Falcatus and A. Altus. Wowww...do they ever look the same visually. If I saw an Altus for sale (that was actually an Altus) I would think it was Falcatus without hesitation..LOL! So my question is...does anyone know of any subtle differences to distinguish...

One great place to learn about the different species is https://opefe.com/acestrorhynchus.html. And yes, basically you said it all in saying that there are Red Tails (A. Falcatus), Yellow Tails (A. Falcirostris) and striped (A. Isalineae). I love them all, but especially the Reds. :)

This is a great pic of A. Falcirostris (Yellow Tail Barracuda) and A. Falcatus (Red Tail Barracuda). This pic is great for showing the differences of the two species, one huge difference being the hooked nose of the Yellow Tail. Love it!
