I forgot to mention, a strong pond UV-light too...

I do experience algae bloom once in a while during the past, especially during the period of hot weather and strong sunlight. However, as long as u can keep the water in good condition, the algae will just disappear by itself within a week.. A powerful strong filtration is the key... Of coz...

Nice diagrams of the filtration and elaboration. However, becareful for the plan to keep feeder fishes in the sump. The fishes might get trapped in the filter and die and eventually mess up the water... I have a 24x8x5ft pond myself if u did read my thread b4. We can only keep strong swimmer...
