Thanks. There does seem to be quite a bit of air stuck inside it - when I move the filter some comes out. What's the best way to ensure I have a good prime on the filter?

I just added a Fluval 405 to my existing setup and I am finding it very noisy. I already have a Fluval 305 which is actually pretty quiet. Should there be that much noise difference between these two filters?

What size is that severum? I have 2 just like it - they are both approx 10". You got some lovely fish in there. I would like to stock my 50g in a similar way (minus the arow) - but am worried I would be pushing it a little. Any suggestions?

That's a real nice photo. Was it taken with a Canon 450D? What settings did you use? I still have trouble with getting quality fish photos with my Canon. I usually photograph fish using Aperture Priority with an ISO of 1600 and no flash.
