    Really wanting some cichla, but..

The system is running on a sump, probably going to do the same for the 220; or whatever the heck they're upgrading to, if I go forward with this that is. They do seem to be outstanding animals, I've always sort of wanted them, it's just I would never buy one, if I can't provide the proper care...

    Really wanting some cichla, but..

That's the plan, bigger would be heck of a lot more expensive, and would cut my upgrade time in half; or heck in 1/4, lol. Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Really wanting some cichla, but..

3 is ok, but I don't know if it's a large enough number to distribute the aggression; heck, I don't even know how well they do in groups, but I do like the sp.'s you mentioned! Lol. Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

    Really wanting some cichla, but..

How long could I keep them in the 125g before needing to upgrade? I have seen another member on here say that his went from 2" to a foot in about 2yrs.

    Really wanting some cichla, but..

The biggest I can go is a 6' x 2' x 2.5' 220g, anything bigger is out of the question right now; I still have doubts with that size too though..

    Really wanting some cichla, but..

Ok, so after some serious thinking, I have now determined that I would really like to have a group of p-bass. The only thing is I don't know/think if my tank is big enough to house them. I have a 72" x 20" x 20" 125g; it's really only 4" off on 2 measurements from a 180g. There are even some...

    Pirhana/tetra question please read

If you are referring to Serrasalmus Rhombeus, a.k.a the black piranha; then no, wild specimens are reported to get around 2'. I have an 8.5" one myself :)

    Pirhana/tetra question please read

Totally, have a look. It sucks that we in canada don't have such stores, but if I were in your position I would definitely take advantage of it!

Monster Fly River Turtle / pig nose turtle

Lol, I'm in canada. The last time I saw them for sale was a little over 2yrs ago, I don't think anyone gets them now.

    Pirhana/tetra question please read

Exodons are a great choice, but if you want piranhas; I suggest looking into a few of the serrasalmus piranha species. Most don't get as big as a red belly piranha, the only downfall there is they do NOT shoal/school, & must be kept alone. Heck you live in NJ right?! why don't you have a look at...

Monster Fly River Turtle / pig nose turtle

Absolutely awesome! I love these things; I also love visiting the ones at the zoo! I've seen a few for sale around here for like $450, 3-4" shell diameter.

Lmao, I would tell you, but then I would have to kill you.. lol, jks. No "special" rare store.., lol. One of the ones I go to regularly just got this in randomly. :/

Actual adult size for a RRS?

8" seems about right, I have never seen one above that. I too have heard that max size is 12", but I'm doubtful that it's true.

    What's your largest fish?

I have an 8.5" blue diamond rhom, piranha.
