Controlling Humidity in Garage 8000g Uncovered pond

Thanks! :) Do I need to cut/destroy anything for the air exchanger? wright4lfe, I do not know why, but my house has an abnormally high electric bill. I do have a ~3000g pond and a pool/jacuzzi which are pretty big. :screwy:

The sand is Tahitian Moon Sand by CaribSea. Im going to hold onto it for now. I might use them for a refugieum or something similar. If I do decide to sell, it will probably be in a month or two when I set up my pond. thanks for the interest. :)

    Water from dehumidifier

I heard that the water collected in a dehumidifier passes through copper so I would not use it for fish tanks unless you run it through carbon first.

    240 AQUARIUM $450!!!!

I'm not sure. I got an xp3, 2 ac110's, a sump w/ over 5 gallons of bio balls, and 110g with stand. I am setting up an 8000g pond and I will need a sump so Im thinking I should keep the 60g sump and maybe make the 110g a sump as well. I guess I should worry about selling the big tank first.

Controlling Humidity in Garage 8000g Uncovered pond

Here is the thing, I will be living there a max of 6 months. I will keep the pond covered and paint the walls and ceiling with waterproof paint. I can probably keep a low watt fan exchanging air from my garage to the outside via a door in the garage. Thank you for your concerns. :)

Controlling Humidity in Garage 8000g Uncovered pond

The garage has drywall and a window. I am looking into painting the walls and ceiling with waterproofing paint. I heard that dehumidifiers use up a lot of electricity. Is this true, because the electric bill is already 2k a month.

    Question About Starting Aquarium

http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.detail/iid/7911/cid/1991 Is this the one you are taking about, the 2000 gpm model? If so, umm, I'm not intending on skimming the ocean. :D The pond isn't going to be the size of seaworld. :D Also, I doubt I could justify a $40k protein...
