So...many y'all can help solve this one. I went down to the local pond last fall and leaning off the pier scooped ~5 gallons of water into a 5 gallon bucket from near the surface (~6 ft deep off the pier). Also grabbed some floating leaves (couldn't reach the bottom) Wanted to get some critters...

It doesn't look like shell rot but I'm not positive. I just moved him to a 90 gallon tank that he has all to himself with lots of wood ect. It is by a window and tends to get algae on the windows but I do have a turbo twist on the filter so I'm not sure it the staining is actually algae on him...
