Purchased this as a spotted tiger shovel nose. I always thought it was a tiger shovel nose/achara hybrid. Whatcha think?? About 8 in now.

Is this a TSN or a hybrid?

Lots of posts of TSNs on here, so I thought I'd share a couple photos of some great looking P. tigrinum. I came across these at an aquarium exporter in Peru where they had been recently collected from the Rio Nanay. The largest was about 40 inches, while the smaller two were 30 - 35.

So my tsn is deformed. It has a rounded head. It's not flat like a coal shovel it's round like a spade or a snow scoop. It has grown from an inch long to 13 inches in 3 1/2 months however it's head is domed. Will it flatten out over time or will it stay like this?

Found this on Ebay labeled as a TSN, but it doesn't look like the baby TSN I've seen... Is it some sort of hybrid?

Noticed tonight that my 5-inch tsn has popeye in one eye. I know exactly when it's from, he kinda freaked out yesterday morning and ran into the glass a couple times. He looks fine otherwise, is acting normally and eating normally, just has one eye bulging. I'm sure it's not from water...
