Honestly don't kno exactly how long would take to get 10" IT to 16". Largest indo I hav is 13", but was only 10" a yr ago. But some of my other dats don't grow nearly as fast, hav one that's only grown one inch in past yr. I do believe ST's generally grow faster and larger in aquarium than IT's. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong on that statement

Just checked your profile (not creeping on u lol just curious what u got going) and seems u pretty experienced growing monsters judging by your tanks and fish kept. Id say if u put a 10" IT in a 300g, and fed like a pig, id suggest Massivore pellets, could reach 16" in 2yrs or maybe lil less. I've never had one hit 16", 13" my record so far, but also it in a 120g, not a 300.

Thanks yes I've raised different big fish before but not dats. And there really cool looking and interesting how they eat and how there mouth extends. So 10-10" st or 5 indo 5 st 10" would be ok in a 300g for a couple of years till they are 16"

first year 5"-6"

second year 1-2"

third year and beyond 1-2" per year

so approx 6 years or more to attain 16"

approx 12 - 15 years for a datnoid to mature :o

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
10 ~ 10"+ ST @ current price is enough to get you a brand new car :)
Yes!
According to Asian market,
a CT or VT (lesser grade of ST, but still count as Datnioides Pulcher or Wide Bar), if your super super lucky, you can get one for $400-$600, else they goes for $1200usd+ a piece
*CT as Cambodian Tiger or VT as Vietnamese Tiger
a true ST, $2800usd+ (but 90% of them are larger than 16")
*ST as Siamese Tiger
$2800 x 10 - $28,000 :3
No, CT (Cambodian Tiger) is still classified datnoides pulcher (ST), widebar. IT datnoides microlepis. I heard VT (Vietnamese Tiger) thrown out there b4 too, which believe also pulcher. I don't kno enough characteristics to tell ST, CT, or VT, apart, but believe collection point has do with. Believe CT's cheaper than ST, but you still shelling out good money for them. Like instead of 10= New car, 10=very low miles used car ;)
