¿?¿freshwater sump.2-55gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
okay so now i have end'd up with this setup and its working great.just some more ?¿? i now have a 25 gallon cube bucket with a 5 gallon bucket in it with the water flowing into the 25 gallon and the pump in the 5 gallon bucket with media flowing back into the tank. my question is if there is a power outage how do i set it up so it doesn't over flow?¿ is there like check valves. i already have valves on it but those u have to work with your hand.( i am i geuss looking for some thing like the air check valves people use for the bubble makers..?¿)

the hose is pushing water threw it by it self. what i did was jump start it my attaching it to the water poring into the tank so it had currant then disconnected it. so now it has its own self current. with that the hose alone is to much water flow it over flows the 25 gallon bin. so i have it with a valve half way closed so the tub doesn't over flow also the pump has a small self built in control valve that i have closed half way to slow the water flow from going into the tank. i see know problem with it at all right now so yeah i am happy with my DIY. please i need help with the over flowing question. thanx bro

what kind of overflow are you using it sounds like you have a siphon going if this is the case the sump will overflow

well there is know over flow i need to make one or buy one. do they work of the one pump as well ??¿¿ also i think i have the what line stable i have bin watching it for a couple hours know and it hasnt moved, the bucket water line and the tank water line. i marked them both. so do i need an over flow if i drill a hole in the pvc pipe for the waters intake were the water line is like an inch below that?¿? and would that b good or i need an over flow.?¿¿

Crapy setup right now tomorrow all the "fancy" ( the rack and media also need some mesh i need to pic up tomorrow) is going in. so i cnt wait so far with the media bags just dropped all around the pump it worked good.
