One could argue that this makes them more prepared for the post-season, not less. :grinno:

yep but playing through injuries (iverson, fisher, kobe, west and soon dirk) just to keep your team in the race for the top spots could prove to be the difference in the playoffs..where the teams with all its straters healthy have the advantage..

Thats part of the game though, each team has an equal chance of having it's players get hurt. If you deal with injuries one year-tough luck, maybe next year. Ask the Washington Wizards about that...

yeah but the wiz are still in it in the east despite agent zero being hurt, if they were out west they'd be in the lottery...

yeah nuggets win...that's good for my lakers :D

I disagree, I think that if Arenas had been healthy all last year and this year, that the Wizards would be a very good team. I dont know how good, but certainly not lottery. Any starting 5 that has Arenas, Butler (probably the most underrated player in the game), and Jamison (also a vastly underrated player) can win on any night.

if they were out west right now they'd be in the lottery..Kwame for caron was probably one of the worst trades in NBA history..godd thing lakers got gasol for kwame and sort of rectifies the mistake..

lakers win behind 36 pts. 13reb. and 7 assts from the mamba

I guess we just disagree on the talent of those three on the wizards, I do think they would be in the playoffs out west if all three (Arenas, Butler, Jamison) were healthy last year and this year.

oh dont get me wrong arenas, jamison and caron are all excellent players and all stars..its just that they're team is too small to compete out west..you got caron playing small forward and jamison putting in PF duties, they'd be mismatched, but if they can get a natural PF and slide jamison to the 3 and caron at the 2 the wiz can do a lot of damage IMO

Too small? For the west? Dallas- SF-Howard(same as Butler)/PF-Nowitzki (big but soft), Denver-SF- Anthony (bigger than Butler by an inch)/PF-Martin(same os Jamison), Golden State-SF-Jackson(bigger by an inch)/PF-Harrington(same as Jamison), Houston-SF-Battier(bigger by an inch)/PF-Scola(same as Jamison), NO-SF-Stojakovic(bigger but soft, also bigger than their PF)/PF-West(same as Jamison). See I agree their not as big as all the teams specifically PHX but I think their soft anyway, certainly not as big as LA or SA. I think your right for some teams, but not the majority for the west.

yep..your list looks about accurate, thats why they need a legit PF..if they can get that then the east is in trouble..i agree with you that the suns are big but a soft team..

cavs lose to the bulls, the cavs have been up and down..

They will continue to be up and down, but I still don't want to see Lebron in the playoffs...ever. If Mike Brown could coach at all they'd be in much better shape.
