today i released the first feeder fish. we call olomina here.
found a pic at fishbase.org.
also added fresh water shrimp.
the can live almost anywhere and are great food for my gars.
Il wait a few more week before i add the first 20 Gar.
I've thought of adding Dovii as well as they are local fish.
not shure yet though they might be competition for the gar if they grow large. Or its a good balance since there is enough space for many fish.
I have convicts ready as well and some other local fish.
will look up photos of all i add.
phot is of olomina from fishbase.org
These are often referred to as mosquito fish, or also gambusias, they work great to keep mosquitos out of ponds, they are live bearers and breed rapidly, and also serve as food to the fish in the pond, very good choice.
