How many fish could I have including my fish? Could I have more than one oscar? 2-3 peacock bass?
In nature(and large public aquariums) they do school, but in small home aquariums they tend to not like others of its kind......from what I've readThose flagtail prochilodus look really nice! Are they schooling fish?
Kind of a hard question to answer, but with 1K gallon you've got a lot of wiggle room to play with. How many fish could I have including my fish? Could I have more than one oscar? 2-3 peacock bass?
Also, I am looking at filtration for my tank and I was thinking that 10,000 gph would be good but I found pool-like filters for aquariums rated up to 2,000 gallons but they say the max flow is 2,000 gph? What should i get?
While 10X times the water turn over would be great, it may not be necessary. With a tank that size, you should research into drip sytems and auto water changing systems. You should also research into incorporating hydroponic into the aquarium for even better filtration, which could also cut down on electricity and water usage/waste. You shoud start a newWhat about the filtration?
Here's what I'm thinking on the stock: 1 black or silver aro, 1 fire eel, 1 bgk, 3 peacock bass, 2 oscars, 1 leporinus, 1 flagtail, and maybe some bottom cleaner fish since this tank will have sand, any ideas on bottom cleaners?
As long as everybody is about the same size and well fed, you should be fine. If you can, growing them out together should produce a more amiable environment in the futureOK thanks! what do you think about the stocking list?
