1/4" thick enough?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ok sweet I will definitely go for at least half inch than, thanks for your opinions as I don't think I would be able to make many decisions, with confidence, without them.

awww shucks :) its all good dude thats what were here for.. yeh 1/2 inch would be a good minimum, good luck with the new set up :D

I would say that you are pushing your luck using 1/4" glass on a 72 x 24 tank.

i have a 6' x 2' x 18" tank. it is 3/8" doesnt bow ANY. so i think that should be good. 1/2" seems way overkill

i agree but it is only 132 gallons or so. its not that big of a tank, plus its shallow. i do agree if you dont want top braces then 1/2 is necessary.

go with the 1/2 inch glass, cant wait to see pics

I can't wait to actually get it, everything seems to be working out so hopefully it will be within the next couple months. Gotta build myself a super overkill stand to.

oh hell yeh, your gonna need a really solid stand.. definately do not skimp on that..
