i want to buy a 1.5 gallon rectangle tank that fits perfectly under a part of my table. the tank would fit perfectly but i dont think i can fit a filter over it.

if i have like only once african mbuna will it need filtration and aeration?

Not nearly big enough....Only a betta or some 2 white clouds will fit in the 2.5. I like a single plant, betta, and snails. I would at least add a small air-stone though....

i found a hang on filter that fits.
i think im gonna have a few shell dwelling tanganyikans. kinda tired of mbunas.

or i could get a tiny reptile that doesnt grow too big.

youre joking. no shell dwellers in a 1.5g long?
i think the dimensions are approximately 14 inches in length, 8 inches in height and 6 inches in depth.

hate bettas

they actually look pretty interesting. when you said shrimp i immediately thought of the bamboo shrimp (feathers hands that collect food floating in the tank.)

anything interesting about these shrimp?

a 1.5 gallon is going to be way too small for a bamboo shrimp. For a 1.5 gallon you're definitely going to have to stick to bettas, white clouds, or the smaller shrimp like the cherry reds and ghost shrimp.
