1" Dat growout "contest"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The first pic was taken on Friday June 8th, 2007. I bought 6 indo tigers and they were all less than an inch from LFS.

Starting from second pic till the end, the pictures were taken on Sunday JUne 10th, 2007.

They are currently housed in a 35 gallon tank. Their main diet is Hikary BloodWorms (the more expensive version: the cheaper one were a dollar less per pack). I am planning to add some frozen hikari brine shrimp next week.

Has anyone heard of the brand Frost Bite? Any feedbacks from those.

They are looking good!

Never heard of Frost Bite....I have been mainly using the Hikari bloodworms and also the frozen brine shrimp on my dats. Now that they are starting to get bigger they are getting frozen market shrimp that I break up. The larger ones seem to really like the market shrimp.

Is it too late to get in on this? i just got my Dats last week they are about 3/4"-1". Ill add some pics later.

I think that someone had a lot more growth in their dats. I can't remember who it was.

You will have to post some pics of your massive group ewurm. :naughty:

I hired some personal trainers for my dats. Here is a pic of the one of the trainers I am using....

Transferring tanks this weekend, I'll get some pics of the shoal.

Can't wait. What size tank are you moving them to?

I have a question, I see that some of these dats have non solid black stripes, like it's faded, is that normal or is it permanent?

When dats are stressed their color gets a washed-out look to it. Once they acclimate to and become comfortable with their environment they will most likely start showing their normal coloration again.

I have a couple that haven't stabilized, yet. For the most part mine have the solid stripes, but it seems to stress them out when I turn my lights on and kind of washes them out. I haven't used my light in their tank for a couple of months now.

Looks fantastic!
