1 FX5 on a 125?

I have a 1300 gph wavemaker but will it be a little much for my plants? I would position it on the same side as the filter return? Up high and perfectly horizontal and it would move debris?

As long as it isn't strong enough to uproot the plants or rip its stem into half

Alright cool. I think I have 2x350 gph's too. Those may be a little more tame.

Sure, just be careful on positioning it so it doesn't uproot any plants before they've had a chance to grow well established root systems.

id put the wavemaker on the opposite side of the return so theres even flow

i have one FX 5 and two power heads one on each end for the circulation effect, it works just great, i have quite a few fish, in my 125 gallon and i havent had any problems at all, water quality is great, it never hurts to add more filtration if it makes you feel more comfortable but one FX 5 on a 125 is fine with power heads.
