That is really cool looking. You did a really good job on that.

I want something like that at work!

Thanks for the compliments!

This project was really inexpensive and fun. The most expensive part was the lamp. I got a flour. desk lamp from Staples for 25 dollars. My tank takes up less than a square foot of space on my desk so its pretty small. I think its a fun project for the office desk and it helps to make you want to come to work everyday. LOL

The hard part is leaving it for the weekend, but its exciting to see the growth come monday morning.

looks great

Thats a cool little tank/bowl. Are they hard to set up and get working?

Not at all. The hardest part was probably doing the research. The CO2 required the most work since you are actually making something. The aquascaping was really the second hardest thing to do, but I didnt plan anything out. I just found a couple rocks I liked, picked up a few plants and just stuck them in the substrate (natural gravel).

All I really wanted are plants that have small leaves or plants that look like mini versions of larger plants. That way I can make a scaled down version of a full size scene.

Its amazing how large you can make a small space look just by trimming down your overgrowth. I just redid the layout by moving some plants and trimming some down. After I did that, I realized I need a couple more plants to fill some space. haha.. not really.

Here are some shots I took today after a good trim.
