1 incident away from quitting the hobby

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry to hear this, especially with the Tiger. I am familiar with it from its previous owner. That would be a hard loss for me. But as stated above, most of us have all been through it. Me two years ago. Almost quit rays but my wife stopped me from dumping the survivors. And I am so grateful that she did. Your situation is a personal decision. I will say think hard about your choice so its not the wrong one. I know mine would have been.

Sorry to hear about the issues you've been having. I agree with the other folks who have chimed in. I have felt this way many times and the frustration can be overwhelming a lot of times. I try to think about all the times this hobby provides me an outlet from all the stress in life. How it keeps me stimulated and challenged. And how I would have to pick up golfing if I have this up....

No thank you.

You're only so upset because you care so very much about your rays and the hobby. If this all happened and you didn't care then you should be questioning staying in the hobby. Good luck man, sorry to hear about the misfortunes.

After calming down about losing those I will be sticking around, hopefully the two rays I seen breeding activity with are actually pregnant and I see movement soon. And I'll use the pups as my new motivation because that was certainly exciting during my last litters.

A lot of bad luck in the hobby this year. I myself have had a rough few months watching my rays get torn up through younger rays reaching breeding age and have had two outbreaks of gill flukes. I only have the one tank so my options are limited, I either ride it out or sell stock, but I can't make my mind up what rays I would sell.
You still have seven rays and a big tank which you say is repairable. To me it's a no brainier mate. Full steam ahead. Repair that bad boy and get back to enjoying your fish!
Best of luck

Sorry to hear man. It really does suck sometimes, but fortunately it usually doesn't keep focusing on the others and hopefully it'll pass. We've all been there.
