My Stinkpot is about 2 inches or so now, but when I got him he was less then an inch.

So what do you want to know exactly?

They max out at about 4 1/2" inches. I believe the largest one ever found had a shell length of about 5 inches. My turtles is over twice as big as the picture I posted above. I took that photo in March I think. They are a great turtles species to keep because they stay so small.

wasn't there 4inch law?? or does that only go for sliders?

My parents found him in their driveway last fall in the beginning of October. They gave him to me and I was going to let him go in the spring, but decided to keep him. These guys are so common in the water ways around where I live. Probably tied with Common Snappers as being our most common turtle species.

In my state (PA.), pet stores can get away with selling baby turtles under 4" inches if they are for "scientific study" or "research."

Yeah, illegal to sell turts under 4''
Dunno how they got away with selling tons of babys, but they're perfectly legal to own, and (if im not mistaken) legal to buy too.
