Got bored waiting for my python to refill the tank during a water change and took some photos since I'm at about the 1year mark on this tank. 125gal with mild mbuna, peacocks, and haps. This is during a water change, so there is a bit of crud in the water, but it's the easiest time to catch the fish in a better position. Also wish I had a camera that accurately picks up the blue...

Full shot of tank.

In the bottom of pic 2 you can see my concession to my wife, a lower grade EBJD. He's been in there about 7 months now, not grown any at all and isn't particularly pretty... I doubt he's all that happy with pissed off African cichlids around him, but at least my wife is. ;)

I wish I could've gotten a pic of the 3+" Black Calvus in there, but he's pro at hiding during the changes... I thought he had died a month ago, didn't see him for 2-3 weeks and then one day he magically appeared again.

Forgot in the stock list 2 female C. Azureus.
Calvus came out and I snapped a pic of him. Water is a bit murkier now after rinsing the filters.

Took these pics a little while after the tank was stocked.

For comparison, here's the N. fusco at about 2". stayed small, shy, and fast for a long time and then started growing real fast once he hit about 3 inches

A shot of the tank about 9 months ago for comparison.

great tank, always have a place in my heart for african cichlids

One is almost 3 inches, the other is over 4" and very "girthy". The larger of the two spawns by herself with no males. When I initially stocked the tank they were the largest fish in the shipment and stayed largest for maybe 4 months. They grew slow and steady to current size.

In the first pic of first post, you can see the larger of the C. azureus in top/front/center in front of the fusco. Plain silver fish with 3 black spots. As juvies, if you look in the last pic of the second post both azureus are right above the second rock from the left.
