Well HIS thread is called 10000k. Thats kelvins. That 10k bulb is better for your plants. The only time you want a Lesser kelvin aka a yellow or at the bottom red(red is about 1000 - 2500k) is for flowering.

Your right, the aren't talking about the temp color. It is talking about lumen. Please see my other thread.

The kelvin range of 65-10k is the most aesthetically pleasing for ppeps looking at plants. It's just that, what you prefer. I tried every damned kelvin in the past and came to one conclusion. The higher the kelvin the less realistic it looks. I usually mix it up like 10k with 6.5k.

Most aquatic plants flower especially stem plants, but only when they're partially above the water line. Some will grow out of the water and flower, some will send an antennae looking shoot up there to reach the air. It's cool when they flower.
