I went fishing down in miami the other day and caught this beauty! It is a feral midevil from homestead Miami, and she is 10 1/2 inches of RED.

Tell me what you think. The pics do no justice.

The last pic is of her being shy the day after I caught her.

She looks beautiful. I hope she makes it for you!. I had not seen pictures of any actual Aliens before! She looks like she is going to be a beautiful little devil

The envy !!! Oooh the envy!!!!!!!!!!

Watch for fin rot i dont know why some ferals go through the a period of fin rot when introduced to tanks. Also dont worry if she acts shy and doesnt eat for about 1-2 weeks but they usually take to pellets easy once theyre comfy. Shes beautiful!

Not quite as easy as it sounds. Many of the species down here are restricted to certain areas or are only plentiful in a few areas. I've been dipnetting and fishing for years and this is the first time I've even gotten the chance to catch one. Now I know where to go, and I may even snorkel for them!

It was amazing and aggravating at the same time. Crystal clear blue tint water 10-15 feet deep and midevils all around, name a color and it was there. I think I even saw a parrotfish. The aggravating part is the fact that your looking at the treasure, but they have no interest in the hook, bait, lure, whatever. I caught her because she was defending her territory, and I hooked her chin. Not even her mouth!

If I can find my waterproof camera, I'll take video of my dive if I go through with it.
