10 angels DEAD, What did I do?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Firstly ill ask, did you do any ammonia tests whilst this was occuring, also your nitrate shouldnt be 0 normally it should be at 12.5. My guess is that adding the new fish may have triggered the tank to cycle, and if this happened the huge waterchange might not have been such a good idea.

soz to hear about it, no-one likes losing fish.

:ROFL:Holy crap that's specific!

I agree that you should have nitrate, but I won't try and pinpoint what it should be. ;)

I wonder what's going on with your cycle right now. Have you tested daily to see any fluctuation?

Also, it's a bad idea to add 19 fish to a tank at a time. I think this was where the problem started.

Hey, I've done it before -- added too much at a time. We all have, probably. So you've got to sort of take this and learn from it, even though it totally sucks and I really do feel for you.

:iagree: A tank setup for 4 months will likely only have enough BB for whats in the tank, and maybe a little more.

Sounds like a mini cycle to me. Change a bit everyday 10-15% rather than a huge water change unless replacing with RO water with matching params as tank water.

Hmmm...i dont know; It might be a PH shock to me...

Both of my LFS keeps their PH around 7.6-7.8 REGARDLESS of what fish it is...discus, angelfish, etc...

I am speculating if there was a big PH drop, it could have caused a shock?

Regardless, if it was a mini-cycle or not, he said his ammonia, nitrite, nitrate were non-existent. In addition all that water change should have removed any...

Let me us know how it goes...good luck!

Thanks everyone.

dookie- no milky slime on them, they looked perfect.

As far as ammonia unfortunately the test kit I use doesn't include it (I need to pick it up i know!) and the 19 angels were in the tank for months already when this occurred, the only addition was the clown 3 clown loaches and 5 cory cats.

I have to go with the pH down. It has happened to me before with a product called Acid Buffer. I lost 2 of the 8 I had in my 90 gallon after I added this product. They had been doing great for months and I had just done a water change straight from the tap, which because it is a well, is neutral pH with no chlorine (I am blessed with this). Then I added the buffer and all the angels began gasping, jerking around and producing copious amounts of slime. I noticed rather quickly and changed all of the water, but 2 of the black lace angels died. I decided from then on not to add chemicals to any of my aquariums. The fish look much better now that I don't add any chemicals.

It is dead in the sense that it was never intended to end this way. Even at launch we were behind the PC version for content, now we wont ever get anything fixed or added.

I thought the handling of Too Human had been bad, but Sacred 2 is on another level.

As for people playing it... the numbers are WAY down on the first couple of months. Just see how many people are on the leaderboard, less than 10 of the launch month.

Playing at high levels means playing with VD Dryads or yourself, or hoping one of the other, what, 50 legit players over 150 are online?

I think you did too much water change.. That cause the water to not have enough bio which can cause the heavy breathing. I think you should go buy some live bio in a bottle and added to your tank and don't do no more water chnage for a least two weeks.
