He has gotten get very nasty lately. Totally attacked my male Sen two days ago, and my Angels last night, when they tried to lay eggs near his cave, in my 55G tank.

He does not seem to be acclimating well to sharing a tank with the Bichirs and Angels. I'm told he is wild bred. Maybe this is why?

He used to only defend his cave when someone entered it.
Now he is coming out of it and chasing fish around the tank!! Not sure what is going on....

I cannot part with my Bichirs and my husband does not want to get rid of his Angels, so Snooky needs a home as I do not have another available tank right now.

I just want to make sure that he gets a good one. With someone who hopefully knows BGK's. Hence why I am posting here first.

Sorry about that girl. If I was closer I would take him in a heartbeat. Goodluck.

i definitely feel you on not parting with your bichir & your husband his angels so you guys should have just gotten a divider. you watch your half & he his. but hey, so long, snooky.

Glad to hear Snooky found a new home. Wish I was closer... and had seen this posting sooner. :)

Well as for the divider, Snooky was coralling all my Bichirs and Angels, in one corner and owning the rest of the tank.

There is no way that would work in a 55G tank, for all my 9 inch Bichers and two 8'' Angles!!

They were forced to sit there in one corner, day and night. They even stopped eating! They became VERY jumpy. They stopped greeting me when I came to the tank.

Now they are out and about, once again, and happy(and healing). Man what a change in their personalities!!

Also, they will soon have a bigger home in a 125G tank.

And then the 55g will be my husband's.

So either way, I didn't have anywhere else to put Snooky. I'm sad, yes but honestly not much else I could do.

Just made more sense to do it the way I did.

oh yeah. i hear you. snooky, would definitely have to go if i can't see my bichirs swim! hey, Father's- Day is coming. give your husband the 125 (lol).

Sorry to hear about Snooky but I'm glad that you found a good home and it seems that you did the right thing for all the fish.

All BGK are wild-caught, BTW.
