Not that has ever been documented..I really do not think one would care to do so. I have video of one stalking and attacking a duckling and have seen documented cases of the feeding on Herons and muskrats but in no case has a wild fish actively pursued a human.

When captured in the wild or in captivity these fish can be very dangerous but it is not their teeth or jaws that should worry you...The scales and Tail on a large adult are the most worrysome part of these fish when handling and capturing.

Good to see unbeatablec still lives in the MFK threads:ROFL:

The photo was staged and this has been know for a long time also..The actual fish was about 5 1/2 ( give or take ) given the proportions of the pictured fish.

While 9 to 10 foot fish have been documented this pic is not one of them..

Don't know the actual authenticity of the photo, but looks to me it would have to be bigger then 5 1/2 to 6 feet. The gar is well over 3x as long as the legs on the sawhorse. To go with the gar being 6 foot, the legs of the sawhorses would need be only 20" long, which does not apear to be the case.

so that puts it in what the 8 to 9 foot range a best? if it was actually on the sawhorses.
Something to look at is the depth between the saw horses on either end. notice how they arrange in a way that points in at a sharp angle..

Whats the deal with the missing detail on the tail side???

Why is the ground texture so Large and rough???

The whole photo is early 20th centruy fraud if you really look at it..Look at the background. Hell the fish alone says something is well fishy by the fin positions...

I could keep going on and on....

This photo is good. It was the world record for sometime.
No it is not good it has not actually had a single shred of evidence to support it..and it has never been officially claimed to be a record fish. It is a faked photo that for some reason will not die..It is like the jethro gator gar pic that also will just not die...

idk how u could think thats a real picture.

1. its impossible for that gar to be sitting on piece of wood like that. judging by the fin positions, it defies a few laws of physics for it to be sitting like that.

2. it just looks completely fake.

3. WTF is that guy looking at? if you notice his eyes are looking BELOW where that gar is pictured at.
