I say if you want to fish go exotic. Convert to salt water and toss in a few small sharks maybe 3 or so in the 4-5 foot range. Good fishing great eating and a hell of a conversation piece.

i wish and for salt i don't think that will work it a outdoor pond. he is trying to get fish in the pond with out his dad knowing. lol

any gar fish will live in it ... i have a spotted,longnose, and florida gar gar in my pond. nd this year my pond froze ove nd i just cracked a big whole in the ice for them to surface nd they all lived fine. i have no heater in my pond nd i have them three gars,red terror cichlid,redtail cat, koi,albino channel cat, green terror, and a flowerhorn nd the pond and they was fine... im limited to what i can buy my parents lemme buy one thing at a time. nd i was broke all last winter. but everyday i would drain at least 20-30 gallons of water every day nd i would refill with scolding hot water... but this year i went bout me some heaters .

i would do a school of large mouth bass. they are amazing to feed and will eventually crush anything that hits the water!!!

It's going to take forever to stock them by just catching fish for it... Go find a farm pond and buy them by the hundreds (fairly cheap.) Just do it when your friend's dad is not there, lol.

Sorry but if it's not heated you've got little options, Sturgeon is a good suggestion, you could get quite a good stock level in a pond of that size.

Personally if it was me, why not make it a koi pond, koi are in there , beef up the filtration and go monster koi?

Any pictures of this mega pond to give us a better idea of what it actually going on?
