10" frontosa on black sand/bad color

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Remember wild caught and local breed fish are not the same. Many local breed or farm breed fish are not born and raised in the right Ph. Tossing them in a higer ph can be just as bad. Steady is best.

Everybody here are making good points maybe higher ph would help but I think you would want to raise it slowly I've of fish burning there skin in water that was only between 1 and half a ph level difference. If this front is in water from the same city and the levels are close or the same this shouldn't be the problem fronts do like it fairly dark maybe less light might lighten this guy up I notice ours seem to get a little ligher in the dark. Does any one here know the color of fronts in the wild because they live in deep water and there is know way we can copy that or even come close if you want raise the ph do it slowly and experiment with the lights some people even run blue lights so it mimicks deep water all you can do is try but enoy your front.
