10 gal "dinosaur" tank stock ideas?

I have a 10 gallon set up for my toddler, and the decor is dinosaur themed. I was wondering if there are any ancient-looking fish that would be small enough for this tank. If I can't figure anything out, I may just get a newt or an axolotl. Current inhabitants (which are able to be moved if need be): 3 corydoras, 2 female bettas, 3 common (feeder) guppies that refuse to be eaten by anything. Serious suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

if you have a bigger tank, go senegal bichir, then when it out grows the 10 but him in another tank.

You can do maybe three halfbeaks and some type of goby.
The other fish don't really apply.

The only other tank that I have is currently occupied by my 6" red belly piranha, so a senegal won't work. Are the halfbeaks and goby freshwater? I've attempted salt in this tank, and it was more difficult than I could reasonably manage. I'm looking for something that I won't have to upgrade later, I don't have the time/space for more than a couple of tanks.

If you hatch some troops in a separate aquarium, when they grow big you can put them in there. They have gone unchanged for over a million years and they look really cool and prehistoric!

maybe your ten gallon tank can be a temporary solution for a type of pike cichlid? Or a more realistic option would be 3 Peacock Gudgeon Gobies
