10 gallon or 75 gallon?

Also if you live in the US, i keep seeing threads about Petco’s $1 a gallon sales with tanks up to 75G at times...

So if you save for a while you could own a brand new 75G for $75 bucks and slowly get the budget for everything else...

My local petco only sells stuff rated for 55 gallons and under, and the $1 per gallon sale is the reason the 10 would cost $42 and not more to set up, I found some good deals online, especially for the filter, $7!

Plus fish stores would rather buy from someone locally then pay for shipping from asia.

A short tail from my youth ; When I was still living with the folks I bred cichlids to the point the sale of the fry paid for my hobbies expansion. I had 57 tanks from 5 gallons up to 55 gallons. I also had three wading pools for grow outs. I had credit at three local aquarium shops so never had to pay cash for fish or food, etc. I started with a pair of Oscars and grew from there.

That was before the internet too, all sale were local. You could do the same thing if you have a mind to. Good luck!

I’m sure u could find some better deals on tanks then that 75, I got a 80 gallon for £30 and if u build a custom stand then you should be in your budget and save up for a filter, with a 75 you could divide the tank and breed multiple Bettas and sell them to make back your money
