10 gallon planted tank stocking

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
serpae tetras are a nice addition, they are not overly active, they school well and are very hardy. i had some in my tank and they were a really nice part of the tank. it could be a nice play on with red and blue. you should try to find rummynose tetras instead of serpaes. they are 1 of my favourite fish.

I did rams in a 10 gallon and they bred. do a pair of smaller apistos. or Taeniacara I have them now! And Im pretty sure by bulldog pleco he means a parotocinclus, which grows small, so do it.

You can try and shoot for a bristle nose pleco as well. They won't require anything bigger than the 10 if you have the tank well planted.

I say stick with the dwarf gourami. Pairs of rams or apistos would be nice but since its going to be a first planted tank, the dwarf would be easier to keep.

Your current stock list looks fine as is though. Try getting your hands on some amano shrimp. They tend to be more efficient cleaners and get a litte bigger than ghost shrimp. They also look nice too.

BTW Dispatch273, that dark green grassy plant in the right corner is mondo grass. Its not fully aquatic and will start to die away. Try some cryptocoryne in place of it.

So far I have the swarf Gourami and 5 ghost shrimp. I didn't want to put a strain on the little BB in there. When should I add more fish and what fish should be added next. Im thinking Neons last since they are not very hardy.

Heres a couple pictures these were the only clearish picture. Ill get a picture of Dwarf Gourami too. He settled pretty fast and hes swimming all over exploring.
