No I know that just once in awhile when i'm bored I feed my fish earthworms, lizards, and feeder fish. And I don't exactly like the nice fish. But I don't keep fish for show I care for them just like I care for my rabbit. Not just to keep them for entertainment that's just wrong.
 
maybe a african butterfly fish thats a kool little monster.

Why is it cruel to feed them mice or lizards? Fish eat what they can catch in the wild and I'm guessing each of those scenarios have happened many times. And why is it cruel to keep fish for show? Haha I love my fish and would be crushed if they died but I'd be lying if I said I didn't feed them a feeder or two to watch them in their natural feeding habits.

That being said, a cray seems to be your best option. I love mine and hes getting big of rosy reds. He also loves algae wafers and the fish food that makes it to him but he hunts basically all day.
 
IMO, that's not nature to feed feeders... in the wild, fish have places to run... in a tank, they only have so much space and will be caught eventually... and also if you feed a, for example, oscar a goldfish, that's not nature, as goldfish come from asia, oscars from south america
 
i think the "feeders" they get in nature are probably much healthier then a sickly baby goldfish or rosy.
