From what i've gathered it seems the average is about 1/4" a month.

A consistent growth rate of 1/4" per month = 24 months to grow from 4" to 10". That is slow.

I would expect a 10" Grammode to be more thicker than that but than again I have never kept one or seen one in person


I remember a member on another forum, not sure if he's here too with a huge 10-12" male with a nice size hump.

Here's another shot of the one that's in Spaz's avatar (I just posted it in another thread, so it was handy). This fish is just over 10":

Here he is about half a year earlier. He's the same length, but you can see he isn't as bulky:

IMO the original fish in this post may very well be as big as claimed. Great specimen either way!
