What the HELL...how would it have taken the wolf out.....? I agree your Wolf might have been sick or something....this doesn't make sense to me. And he was sporting a NICE SET OF TEETH....Were there bite marks on the wolf or scratches....?

The guy I got it from said it was pretty mellow for a wolf, and he WAS a little beat up when he arrived. Nips here and there, and a few scales missing. The Amphilophus took a little out of his tail fin, but I don't understand. He was in with bigger and more aggressive fish before.
I'll have to try another one down the road, maybe in his own tank with a mate.

Granted mine is still a baby at 5" but I introduced it to a tank with a 3" female convict (we know how convicts are).. as soon as I placed it in the tank the convict was in the wolf's face and nipping at it. The wolf just laid there and took it. The next morning I woke up to a shredded convict..
My only guess is since he was still new to the tank maybe he didn't feel comfortable enough to put up a fight?? dunno though but it really sucks for you. Definitely get another one in the near future.
