IN MY TANK
What do you guys tink its possible, i am looking for some cichlids for my tank, its a 230gallon. The reason for so many is that i want to try over stocking my tank to bring down the aggression levels as i also have gars and polys in the tank. Im also looking at maybe bring the number of jags down and adding a red devil and some other American cichlids that i can find.Am i crazy?:screwy:
What do you guys think?

Yes your nuts. I wouldnt try and put 10 jags in my pool. I had a m and f together for about a yr never got them to breed and had to seperate and they were in a 180.

I think most likely it will go bad.
That being said, I kept 2 jags, a flowerhorn, an oscar, a senegal, a jewel cichlid, a pleco, a pictus type catfish i think it was a pimelodus mysteriosus, and I know there was more, just forgot... in a 90. Filtration was an fx5 and ac110 before anyone feels the need to flame.
Anyhow, as long as the pot in the 90 was in exactly the right spot, no problems. These were all adult fish too. My problems actually came when I started taking fish out to other tanks or to sell. It worked solely because of overstocking.

I think the odds are very heavily against you, but not impossible.

Seems wacky but it could work

Sounds crazy but I think it'll work. I wouldn't like the look, I'm not a fan of overstocking, but if your going to overstock that's the way to do it, pack'em in.
