Hey guys, I suppose this IS fish related, but there really is no other place to put it on the forums. Anyway, I just finished up an article on the 10 most kick-butt fish on earth and thought I'd share :).

The list can be found here.

Actually I'm more looking for feed back than anything else, what do you guys think of it? It's the only "fish" related post on the site by the way.

To the moderators, I'm unsure if you'd consider this "spamming" or not, If so I apologize if it is and no hard feelings if you delete the post. :nilly:

Yeah, I decided to completely avoid sharks. That's so that the whole list isn't JUST sharks! I should specify that in there somewhere I suppose.

Nice list, although a Goonch would have been nice too. There is a video somewhere on youtube, where a bunch of people in asia try to net an arapaima and then it lunges straight into someones groin. Anyway you should ad that to the pima profile.
I think there was a thread of it on mfk too.

Few things. Goonch isnt on the list and should be. Alligator gar and wels should be flipped. Ooooo the wels is big!! Yeah but it doesnt have a head looking like a gator full of razor sharp large teeth.

i don't see anything badass about the fringe head other than it having a huge mouth and it being a cool looking fish

man, that little parasite catfish makes me cringe

Thanks for the feed back guys. I was going to put the goonch in there, but I wanted a variety of fish... So not multiple species of catfish for example. Goonch may have been a better choice than Wels however.

The top three (Wels, Alligator Gar, and Tiger Fish) are all pretty equal to me, so I ended up going by size for those three.

I'm off to class, but I'll probably end up making some changes based on what I've heard (or a going to hear) from you guys/gals! Nothing to major though, the article is written bahaha I don't feel like re-writing it.

O, and the fringehead? I just wanted some smaller fish with an attitude in there to contrast with all the large fish, plus they look cool :P. An aggressive Cichlid would've worked just as well I suppose.

Keep the comments comming! And there's a poll at the bottom of the post. It's a chance for readers to prove my rankings wrong! Of course the comments are there if you think there should be a fish on the list that isn't :). I have a whole list of fish, and it was hard to narrow them down to just ten.

No stargazer? The only organism known that is both venomous and electrogenic (creates electric current with modified eye muscles no less...).
