Since my previous post of the 10 most kickbutt fish on earth was well received here, I thought I'd post this here as well!

Here's the 10 Most Kick-butt sharks on earth

Let me know what you think! I regrettably didn't get to put the sandtiger shark in there (although tiger sharks are).

DAYUM! Goblin looks crazy!!

Wonder if anyone on MFK has a Cookie Cutter?

Sure thing DariusAmurdarja! I found several semi-credible sources while writing, because I wasn't quite sure myself. I didn't take the time to find a primary source though. Here is an article that talks about it http://www.independent.co.uk/enviro...redators-as-shark-eats-polar-bear-891512.html. I've also put a link in the post as well.

The main evidence for it being a live kill and not a scavenge is this paragraph:

"One clue may come from what the scientists did not find in their examination of the shark: anthropods, tiny creatures that feast on carcasses, gaining access through eyes or belly buttons. Scavengers are usually full of anthropods but none were found in the stomach with the polar bear."

There are of course researchers that disagree (as always) and believe that the shark scavenged, but there is evidence either way.

thats disturbing. I know those sharks are massive but no one takes them serious. Divers swim with them in no fear. They appear slow and not aggressive at all. I would not have expected that.
