10" Red Scats

Just thought I would add a little life to this section with some pics The Reds are 10" and the Tiger is 6". Fully Freshwater since the size of a nickel. Roughly 3.5 - 4 yrs old.

Do you know what the hardness (GH) and buffering capacity (KH) of your tap water is?

I have seen them in the ocean quite a few times. They do great in full salt.

Scataphagus Argus are truely a saltwater species that moves into river system estruaries to breed where small young are captured for the aquatic hobby. They eventually move back out to marine setting.

Do you know what the hardness (GH) and buffering capacity (KH) of your tap water is?

PH is 8.2-8.4 out of tap. KH took 21 drops to change color and GH took 15 to change which is off my chart so estimating over 300ppm. Not sure how to convert the KH.

Pretty hard and figure thats why they do well. Had a 6" Green and another Tiger but my rays got those.
