10" Severum

Awesome sev!...

Any idea how old it is?... Try some aquarium salt in there as well... and have good circulation. Lots of water changes.

I heard that he was older than the pacu and the pacu is 6 years old at least. I have my local fish store taking all but the catfish in for me, thank the lord! I dont think that I can afford to medicate the 125 or afford to do the daily water changes, but I want him to have the best chance and I trust the guy down there.
 
What are you planning on doing with the catfish? 4-line Pims are cool fish. I have a 6-7 incher right now. A bit nocturnal and shy, but they are very impressive looking with all of their markings/coloration.
 
the catfish will stay in this tank and call it home for as long as he likes! I love this little guy.
 
So the severum is gone (went with the pacu and oscars to the LFS). The Pacu I took in there dwarfs all the others he has, and is at least twice their size. I felt lik a real bad *** when Olga brought out the largest net they had (a ten incher) and I had to decline it and say Ill have to get the big net outta my car!
 
the pim looks great, and that severum is huge, I'd keep it, the hith does not look to be at the point where you can't give it a great remainder of its life
 
I may go back and get him, I dont forsee my buddy getting rid of him anytime soon so I have options at this point.
