10 year old plec's stopped eating the algae in my tank.

For relatively cheap think like twenty quid or less,so I probably couldn't afford a royal plec and wouldn't my common plec fight with one anyway?
I have to admit that I'd not heard of a flagtail,would it cope with big cichlids - midas,texas,jaguar,oscars etc?

You could get a small one, like 2 inch or so for around that. They get quite big, not sure how it would cope with the more aggressive ones. Im sure ive seen videos of them in such tanks though. They have a 12 incher at pier aquatics for 80 that I keep saying im gonna get
