ok, I should not have stated it as such a factual statement, as its a theory along with everything else on this topic. It makes sense to me that the melt down of perma ice would cause temperarure drops.... in my opinion

It is a correct statement with a metric But load of data to back it up.

Global warming WILL cause a massive cooling of all temperate areas.

The cold water currents that typically putter there way from the poles to regions more equatorial more have grown in strength exponentially, bringing with them COLD water/air and weather.

Warm water currents that move from the equators to the poles are finding them selves pushed closer and closer to the equator and unable to cross the oceans to repeat the gyre.

The Gulf stream should cross the Atlantic from roughly Cape Cod to Ireland. This is a current thermal map of the ocean from NOAA. It clearly shows the gulf stream is heading east off of Cap Hattaras, NOT Cape Cod, and you can see the Maine Current pushing down the East Coast PAST Virginia Beach.

In Indianapolis, frozen hydrants frustrated firefighters as they tried to put out a Tuesday night blaze at a commercial building.

I lost my Texas Road House! Now I have to drive to the south side.:irked:

Yeah car was covered in ice again this morning.. except more ice. bleh.

No last year it was hardly cold at all over winter.. same with the year before... like 3-4 years ago we had a more cool winter with a few flurries but that didnt last long like this is... not that I remember anyways.

It's terrible though I feel bad for a lot of the farmers, thats a big loss. Also the animals.... poor animals get to the point where they just die off and many of them are natives and animals that we would rather keep around.

As for global warming... I am still iffy on it.... more or less to the extent of it I guess. This is an opinon due to flaw data and hiding and disposing of original data which you wonder why they disposed of it when everyone went try to get the data and look at it. so I am a bit skeptical if it is really to the extent they thought it was, or if they disposed of the information because they flawed it for money. Thats another subject in its self that I rather not side track the thread with.

Shame about the lost fish to the hatcheries. Those businesses dont have a huge profit to work with in the first place.
Certainly has been some odd weather the past few years.

Global warming effectually makes the climate cooler, The artic is getting warmer so the ice melts (the cold water travels via sea and air) and this causes temperarure drops. I thought some posts were a little confused about that.

Didn't Florida get snow last year?

this is the first time FL has seen snow since 1989!

I agree with you about the global warming btw.

Global warming and the effects is taken so personally now that I didn't want to start a silly argument, thats why I retracted my factual statement to a factual opinion :)

Well... as a ct indoor fish breeder specializing in guppies i will make a killing, sorry Floridians.
